![]() I am currently going through the Viz releases dating from 2006 to 2008. ![]() I only wish there was more available to read. Golgo 13 is by far one of the better comics that I have read. He is simply cool, calm, collected and does whatever is necessary to get the job done. His decisions and judgement are not motivated by national honour or some sort of greed or any of that. It is simply non-existent and this allows for him to be just the type of character that he is. Another thing that sets this series apart is Golgo 13 himself, particularly his motivation. Saito has done his research and comes across as very knowledgeable. As the stories shift from politics to corruption to greed etcetera. One of, if not he main, thing that makes Golgo 13 so enjoyable is its approach towards the themes and topics that the stories are centered on. Which is quite a feat, considering that some of these stories are decades apart. Featuring, one-shot stories comprised of 12 or more parts, each story finds a way to be just as memorable, just as remarkable as the others. Golgo 13 is without a doubt one of the finer manga out there. The little that I have read has nonetheless left a very big impression.
